How to play Mahjong

1. Basic Mahjong gameplay: There are 4 players in Mahjong, namely East, South, West and North. Each person draws 13 cards in their hands, and makes the cards in their hands conform to the relevant regulations and conditions by means of eating cards, touching cards, and bar cards.

2. A set of mahjong tiles consists of 42 kinds and 144 mahjong tiles in total, consisting of number tiles (10,000, strips, barrels), character tiles (four winds, southeast and northwest winds, ternary, middle and white) and flower tiles (spring). It is composed of plum orchid, bamboo and chrysanthemum in summer, autumn and winter. Among them, 34 kinds and 136 mahjong tiles are used for playing "Plain Mahjong" (that is, no flower tiles are used). These 136 mahjong tiles are also called basic tiles. When playing "flower mahjong", 144 mahjong tiles are used, which are also called full mahjong tiles.

3. Shuffle: flip all the mahjong tiles upside down (with the pattern facing down), and four players rub the tiles with both hands together to make the tiles move evenly and disorderly, which is called "shuffling" (this action is sometimes called "shuffle"). rub), so it is also called rubbing mahjong, which means playing mahjong.

4. Stacking tiles: After shuffling the mahjong tiles evenly, the two tiles are stacked up and down to form a trick, each of 18 tricks, and the tiles are stacked into a wall and placed in front of your door.

5. Playing cards: The dealer starts to draw two tricks, and the other three players take turns in a counterclockwise direction, that is, south, east, and northwest in turn. Each time two tricks are drawn, each player draws three times (12 cards), and the dealer skips cards (that is, every other A trick draws two cards from the upper layer), and the other three players draw one card each in turn, and the cards are finished. The dealer has 14 cards and the other three have 13 cards each.

6. Draw cards: The order is the dealer, the south, the west, and the north. When drawing a card, you can only draw a card after the previous player has played the card. If the previous player has not played the card, he cannot draw the card by himself.

7. Playing cards: After each draw, eat, touch, open kong, and make up, as long as there is no match, a card must be played.

8. Winning cards: The general standard for winning cards is that three combinations (three of the same, or three straights) plus two pairs of the same (commonly known as trump cards) are the winning cards, also known as the draws. , and in some places it is also called Hu Pai (homonym).
